New Boston Street Bridge Dedication Set for 10 a.m. Today
State and local officials, including Interim Secretary of Transportation Phillip Eng and Highway Administrator Jonathan Gulliver, will cut the ribbon at 10 a.m. Friday on the rebuilt New Boston Street Bridge over the MBTA's Lowell Commuter Rail Line. The bridge replacement is part of a $27 million MassDOT reconstruction project. The ceremony will mark the bridge's naming in honor of Vietnam veterans, with a special tribute to Woburn residents who lost their lives in combat.
