Woburn-based Azurity Gets FDA Approval for Liquid Lamotrigine

Woburn-based Azurity Pharmaceuticals announced Monday that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved Lamlique, a ready-to-use oral liquid formulation of the epilepsy drug lamotrigine. It is approved as add-on therapy for certain seizure types in patients 2 and older, for conversion to monotherapy in some patients with partial-onset seizures, and for maintenance treatment of bipolar I disorder in adults. The drug carries a boxed warning and is expected to be available by the end of 2026.
