Crews clear seaweed from Winthrop streets after nor'easter
Crews were clearing seaweed that the weekend nor'easter tossed onto Winthrop streets, CBS Boston reported Tuesday, while waves kept adding to mounds at Short Beach, which straddles Winthrop and Revere. Ollie Najnigier, who went to the beach to check conditions for surfing or skimboarding, said he was "absolutely shocked to see the mounds of feet of seaweed."
