Flood Watch remains in effect through early Tuesday
The National Weather Service's Flood Watch for Winthrop remains in effect until 2 a.m. Tuesday, warning that excessive runoff could flood low-lying and flood-prone areas, and a Coastal Flood Advisory runs until midnight tonight. Monday's forecast calls for showers and possible thunderstorms, with a northeast wind of 18 to 21 mph gusting as high as 31 mph. A quarter to half an inch of new rain is possible.
