Funeral Held for Cummings School Teacher Leanne Silverman
A funeral Mass for Leanne Silverman, 52, is set for 11:30 a.m. today at St. John the Evangelist Church (St. Michael's Parish), 320 Winthrop St., with interment to follow in Winthrop Cemetery. Silverman taught for nearly 30 years, including many years as a fourth-grade teacher at the Cummings School, where family said she touched the lives of countless students with her kindness and patience. She leaves her husband, Peter, and children Maddison and Petey; family and friends are invited to attend.
