Select Board renews town manager's contract
The Select Board voted 4-0 by roll call on Aug. 24 to exercise the one-year renewal option in Town Manager Christopher Senior's employment agreement, keeping him through Dec. 31, 2027, with a 2.5% pay increase. Vice Chair William McGonigle made the same motion that died for lack of a second on Aug. 10; this time Michelle Prior seconded it, and Chair Anthea Brady and Michael Bettencourt also voted yes. Nothing in the contract changed between the two meetings; Senior's filed evaluation showed section ratings ranging from 3.3 for planning and organizing to 3.8 for leadership and budget management, above the contract's average-of-3 standard.
