Planning Board tables 972 Main St. development to Sept. 8

The Planning Board has postponed discussion of the Treetop Group's proposed mixed-use development at 972 Main St., the site of an abandoned muffler shop, until its Sept. 8 meeting. Chair Jack LeMenager said the applicant has satisfied the board on all aspects except the parking garage, where travel lane dimensions remain inadequate, and the developer is revising the design. Building Commissioner Tom Kennedy said he has received redesign plans that look "encouraging and much closer to what we need," while Zoning Coordinator Carla McGrath said she has no information on the site.
