Art in August turns downtown Winchester into a local arts colony

The 24th annual Art in August festival has begun, with works by 26 local artists displayed in windows and inside 27 downtown businesses through the month. Meet-the-artist receptions are held Thursday evenings, and Art in the Park returns Saturday, Aug. 15, for a full day of arts activities on the Common at the Winchester Farmers' Market. The festival is sponsored by the Winchester Cultural Council and the Winchester Artists Network, and all events are free to the public.
