Flood watch extended after Weymouth records 5.02 inches of rain

The National Weather Service extended Weymouth's flood watch through Tuesday morning after the weekend nor'easter dumped 5.02 inches of rain on the town. Already saturated areas could see up to another half inch, raising the risk of downed trees and storm damage. Across the region, the NWS logged more than 170 reports of toppled trees on Saturday and Sunday, and power outages peaked at about 10,000 on Saturday.
