Rani Mahal opens in former Amarin space on Grove Street
Rani Mahal, a new Indian and Nepali restaurant, has opened for dine-in service at 27 Grove St., the former home of Amarin of Thailand. Its extensive menu includes a "Nepali Corner" with momos, noodles and chili, plus northern Indian favorites like biryani, kadhai and tandoori, and it clearly marks vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes. The restaurant did not have an alcohol license as of mid-September, but diners can bring their own.
