School Committee extends Lussier's contract, seeks AC funding

The Wellesley School Committee voted 3-2 on Sept. 23 to extend Superintendent David Lussier's contract through June 2029, at an annual salary of more than $311,000 with cost-of-living adjustments. Niki Ofenloch, Linda Chow and Illana Nissenbaum voted in favor, while Costas Panagopoulos and Bob Sullivan voted against, the same split as June's vote to enter negotiations. The committee also voted 4-1 to seek Special Town Meeting funds to design air conditioning for four district schools.
