Top story

Wellesley Primary Turnout About 27%

About 27.1% of registered Wellesley voters cast ballots in the Sept. 1 state primary, according to unofficial town numbers. Wellesley diverged from statewide results in some races: Seth Moulton was the choice here over incumbent Ed Markey, though Markey won the primary, and Margie Palladino took the hometown vote in the District 3 Governor's Council race that Mara Dolan won statewide. Unofficial totals typically exclude write-in, provisional, military and overseas ballots; the general election is Nov. 3.
