Wayland Town Center announces businesses and public-space plans
Wayland Town Center announced plans for a café and community space, New City Microcreamery and Mathnasium. The Guild for Human Services leased 43 Andrew Ave. and will partner with Revival Kitchen & Cafe on the café, which will offer jobs to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Proposed public-space improvements could debut in 2027.

On Monday, September 28, Wayland Recreation warned that fields with puddles, footprints or noise are too wet to use. Permit holders should check with their leagues or coaches, who were asked to move practices out of goal mouths.

Wayland High football defeated Newton South 42-19, according to a roundup reported Sunday. The roundup also noted two girls' soccer wins, a volleyball comeback over Westford Academy and a 5-1 field hockey win over Westford.
