Watertown Schools Begin Search for New Superintendent

Watertown Public Schools announced Sept. 22 that Superintendent Dede Galdston will retire at the end of the 2026-2027 school year, which marks her 10th year leading the district. The School Committee has issued a request for proposals for firms to assist with the search and plans to interview them at its Oct. 19 meeting. The Committee says its goal is to hire a new superintendent by February or March of 2027.
