AFL-CIO endorses Daniel Lander for state Senate

State Senate candidate Daniel Lander announced Wednesday that the Massachusetts AFL-CIO has endorsed his primary campaign against incumbent Sen. Will Brownsberger. According to the campaign's announcement, it is the first time in years the labor federation, which represents more than 800 local unions and nearly half a million members statewide, has endorsed against an incumbent in a Democratic primary. The endorsement comes days before the start of early voting; AFL-CIO President Chrissy Lynch cited Lander's work on public transit, housing construction and union jobs.
