Mt. Auburn Street Work Brings Detours, Bus Stop Moves

Full-depth road reconstruction on Mt. Auburn Street between Amherst Road and School Street runs Aug. 10-14, with one lane open in each direction and traffic shifted as the work zone moves. Access to Mt. Auburn Street is closed from Boylston Street at Concord Road, with a posted detour via Chauncey Street, and from Stearns Road at Amherst Road, with a detour via Amherst Road. Two MBTA Route 71 bus stops in the area are being moved toward Watertown Square; riders should follow on-site signage to the temporary locations.
