Wind Advisory in Effect as Nor'easter Approaches Waltham
A wind advisory is in effect from 8 a.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Sunday as an early-season nor'easter moves up the coast, with northeast gusts of 30 to 45 mph possible. According to the National Weather Service, that is strong enough to bring down trees and power lines, and forecasters say tree damage and power outages are the biggest risk. Waltham could get 2 to 3 inches of rain, with steady rain arriving late Friday or Friday night, or possibly not until Saturday, and showers lingering into Monday night.
