Charles River Community Health plans $5.2M expansion

Charles River Community Health will expand its 43 Foundry Ave. site from 12,000 to 17,000 square feet, with construction starting in November or December and completion expected by June 30, 2027. The $5.2 million project adds six medical exam rooms, three behavioral health rooms, two dental operatories, a nursing station and new vision care. CEO Matthew Mullaney said the center served 5,465 Waltham patients in 2025 — roughly 10% of the city — and currently has wait lists in all departments, with nonurgent waits of more than three weeks for established patients.
