West Nile-positive mosquitoes found in Waltham
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health announced on Sept. 17 that West Nile Virus-positive mosquito samples were collected in Waltham, Lexington and Provincetown, following positive samples in several other neighboring communities this season. Officials say mosquito season is not over in Massachusetts and urge residents to wear long sleeves and pants during prolonged time outdoors and to apply mosquito-specific insect repellent.
