Town Day, flu clinics canceled ahead of nor'easter

Wakefield Town Day canceled ahead of forecast nor'easter
Saturday's Town Day, along with its Farmers Market and flu clinics, has been canceled because the National Weather Service is forecasting high winds and rain, with gusts that could reach 40 mph across eastern Massachusetts. Organizers cited safety concerns about using tents in strong winds and said the forecast also covers Sunday, the scheduled rain date, so the event is canceled entirely. Flu-clinic patients will be contacted to reschedule.
