Democratic Candidates for 34th Middlesex Hold Legislative Debate

Will Mbah, Christopher Oates and Paul Ruseau met Saturday in the Somerville High School auditorium for the first and only debate in the race for the 34th Middlesex District state House seat, covering housing policy and a millionaire's tax. The three are running to replace Christine Barber, who has held the seat since 2015 and is now seeking Pat Jehlen's state Senate seat. With no Republican or third-party candidates named for November, the Sept. 1 Democratic primary is likely to decide the winner.
