Aug. 1 Democratic Primary Debates Moved to Somerville High School
The Somerville Democratic City Committee has moved today's three open-seat primary debates to the Somerville High School Auditorium at 81 Highland Ave., running 5 to 8 p.m. The 34th Middlesex House candidates go first at 5 p.m. (Will Mbah, Chris Oates and Paul Ruseau), followed by the 2nd Middlesex Senate field at 6 p.m. (Burhan Azeem, Christine Barber, Matthew McLaughlin and Erika Uyterhoeven, after Thomas Hopcroft's withdrawal), and the 27th Middlesex House race at 7 p.m. (Ben Ewen-Campen and Olivia Gilligan-Corsetti). Attendees are asked to sign up in advance through the committee's Mobilize page.
