SRA Approves Wood Partners for 90 Washington Street Project

The Somerville Redevelopment Authority voted Monday night to move forward with Wood Partners as developer for 90 Washington Street, the four-acre parcel near the East Somerville MBTA station that has been up for grabs since January. Wood Partners was the only proposal left on the table after the other firm in the running, North River Partners, dropped out at the end of June, saying it could not meet the project's goals while delivering its investors' returns. Senior Planner Ben Demer said he was disappointed the board did not have two proposals to choose from.
