Swampscott Sets Oct. 6 Hearing on Commuter Rail District Zoning
The Planning Board will hold a public hearing Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m. in Room B129 at Swampscott High School, 200 Essex St., with hybrid participation available. The board is seeking resident feedback on what type and style of development they want in the proposed Commuter Rail 40R Smart Growth District, including building height and density, housing and mixed-use development, commercial uses, parking and transportation, and public spaces. The hearing will also cover other proposed zoning updates, including state law compliance, outdoor seating, the Burrill Senior Center Planned Development District and how building height is measured.
