Library Visits Surge 35% Amid Staffing Shortage
Library Director Jonathan Nichols told the Board of Library Trustees on Sept. 16 that visits to the town's public library rose 35% over the past year, along with checkouts and program attendance. Keeping enough staff on hand to serve them is the harder part, and trustees discussed setting standardized rates for on-call staff coverage.
