Planning Board Continues Hearing on 140-Unit Glover Estate Plan
The Planning Board's Monday hearing on a revised 140-unit plan for the Glover estate began with praise for the proposal, which preserves the historic Glover Farmhouse, but turned sharp as members said they lacked enough information to responsibly approve the project. The board voted to continue the public hearing, giving members and town staff time to review documents submitted as late as Monday and allowing The Glover LLC to supply more detail on traffic, access and drainage. The plan calls for six apartment buildings straddling Swampscott and Marblehead, with 96 units in Swampscott and 44 in Marblehead, plus 170 underground and 62 surface parking spaces.
