South End Commission Posts Hearing for 41 Berkeley Street Project

The South End Landmark District Commission will hold a virtual-only design review hearing on Oct. 6 at 5:30 p.m. on a proposed 10-story, 312-unit mixed-use development at 41 Berkeley Street. The roughly 267,000-square-foot project would reuse the Franklin Building, partially demolish the 4 Appleton Street building and add a new 10-story building; a similar proposal for the site received conditional commission approval in 2022-2023. Residents can join the meeting online, by phone, or send written comments to SouthEndLDC@boston.gov.
