Coastal Storm Prompts Weekend Work Ban in Boston

Mayor Michelle Wu has issued a coastal storm warning for Boston from today through Sunday, Sept. 27. The worst is expected Friday evening into Saturday, with two to four inches of rain, damaging winds and possible ponding on roadways, and residents are urged to stay indoors during the peak. The city will not issue after-hours permits for exterior work during the storm, and residents can sign up for AlertBoston updates in 11 languages by phone, text or email.
