Boston Food Waste Pickup Moves to Bi-Weekly Starting Oct. 5
Boston's curbside food waste collection will shift from weekly to every-other-week pickups beginning Oct. 5, according to fliers placed on green bins during this week's collection. The city says the change reflects real-world usage patterns, noting that most residents don't set their bins out weekly. Participants who want weekly service are being referred to Garbage to Garden, a private company that charges $5.50 per pickup.
