Fatal Stabbing at South Station Sparks Homicide Investigation

Boston police say officers were called to 675 Atlantic Ave. around 5:33 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a stabbing, which Superintendent Paul McLaughling said happened on an escalator inside South Station after an altercation between the suspect and the victim. The victim, found with at least one stab wound, was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead. No arrests have been made, the response from Transit Police and EMS temporarily disrupted Red Line service, and police ask anyone with information to contact them.
