'Until Help Arrives' training teaches lifesaving skills
Somerville's Office of Emergency Management holds a free "Until Help Arrives" workshop tonight from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the East Branch Library, teaching residents how to stop life-threatening bleeding, safely position an injured person, call 911 effectively, and stay safe in dangerous situations. No prior training or experience is required; the series is supported by FEMA. Two more sessions follow on September 21 at the West Branch Library and September 30 at the Central Library.
