SomerStreets Gilman Square Arts & Music Festival Returns Today

The annual Gilman Square Arts & Music Festival runs today from noon to 5 p.m., hosted by the Gilman Square Neighborhood Council. With Pearl Street construction under way, this year's event shifts to Edward L. Leathers Community Park with portions along Walnut Street, and road closures from Pearl Street to Medford Street and Skilton Avenue. The free, family-friendly afternoon includes live music, performances by Esh Circus and Cate the Great, pumpkin painting, local makers, food from Nibble Kitchen vendors and others, and a Winter Hill Brewing Company beer garden; the rain date is Sunday, Sept. 13.
