Scituate Storm Damage Limited, but Seawalls Face First Test

Town Manager Jim Boudreau said the nor'easter brought only minor splash-over flooding at Saturday morning's high tide and isolated power outages that were mostly resolved by Saturday night, as newly installed seawalls faced their first major test. He cautioned that residents who lose power may not see a utility truck until Monday because conditions are too dangerous for crews. The town has added first responders and high-water vehicles and plans to open a building Sunday for residents to charge devices if outages become widespread.
