Scituate braces for potential coastal storm this weekend
Residents and town officials are preparing for a potential coastal storm that could bring strong winds, rain and coastal flooding beginning Friday and lasting through the weekend. Town Manager Jim Boudreau urged residents to tune up generators and put away anything that could blow around. Wind is the particular concern, since trees still have their leaves and can act like sails, raising the risk of downed branches and power outages.
