Saugus Assessors Remind Residents of Property Tax Exemption Deadline

The Board of Assessors will mail annual property tax exemption applications to existing applicants at the end of September. Qualifying disabled veterans with a rating of 10 percent or higher, blind residents, seniors 70 and older, and surviving spouses and minors must refile every year, with income and asset limits for some categories. Completed applications and supporting documents must be received by 5 p.m. on April 1, 2027, a deadline that cannot be extended. New applicants or anyone who does not receive a form can call 781-231-4130 or 781-231-4133, or visit the Assessors office at Town Hall.
