Nor'easter pushes back Saugus weekend events

A forecast early fall nor'easter, expected to bring heavy rain and strong winds this weekend, led organizers to move Saugus Olympics Day at World Series Park, which was to feature a visit from Olympic figure skating medalist Nancy Kerrigan, from Sept. 26 to Oct. 17. Organizers of Breakheart Reservation's Fall Family Festival were considering whether to reschedule as well. The Pumpkin Patch truck unloading on the lawn of First Congregational Church in Saugus Center stays on for Saturday at 9 a.m., rain or shine, according to Rev. Bill Ladd.
