Vigil Marks 34 Years Since Susan Taraskiewicz Homicide, Case Still Active

About 100 family members, friends and investigators gathered at Constitution Beach in East Boston on Saturday, Sept. 13, holding 34 seconds of silence for Susan "Su" Taraskiewicz, the 27-year-old Saugus woman found stabbed and beaten in the trunk of her car in Revere on Sept. 14, 1992. She had left her ramp crew chief job at Logan Airport to pick up sandwiches for coworkers and never returned. Investigators have examined several potential suspects over the years but made no arrests; State Police say the case remains open, and a $250,000 reward from Delta Air Lines is still available for information.
