Bicyclist Hospitalized After Being Struck by Car in Salem

Police say a driver knocked a person off their bicycle on North Street near Essex Street around 8 p.m. Thursday, and the cyclist was hospitalized. The bicycle was left mangled at the scene, where there was a large police presence. The driver remained on scene and the car has since been towed; no other details were immediately available.
