Two Arrested After Shoplifting Attempt Leads to Stabbing at CVS

Boston police arrested two people Friday after an attempted shoplifting at a CVS on Blue Hill Avenue escalated into a stabbing. A 60-year-old Dorchester woman told officers she confronted a man she said was stealing items and slashed him in the chest with a knife; the 36-year-old Cambridge man was also taken into custody. The woman is charged with assault and battery, and the male suspect refused medical treatment.
