Roslindale 311 Report Flags Precarious Tree Near Power Lines

A Boston 311 report filed Sept. 27 flagged a dead, unstable tree at 119 Roslindale Ave. A section had already fallen onto a private power line and was cut, but the tall remainder is still standing near public power lines and a neighboring driveway and house. The city closed the ticket the same day, saying it does not maintain trees rooted on private property and that the property owner must hire a private tree care company.
