Revere completes DPW rooftop solar project
The city completed a 236-kilowatt rooftop solar array at the Department of Public Works on September 30. It is expected to generate about 294,000 kilowatt-hours in its first year and save nearly $1.15 million over 20 years.

MBTA bus-lane camera education period begins today
Starting October 1, the MBTA will send educational notices to vehicles stopped in bus stops or bus lanes before fines begin in January 2027. The program initially covers Boston routes and is slated to expand to Revere-serving routes 116, 117 and 119.

Revere overdose deaths fell in 2025, health officials report
At its September 24 meeting, the Board of Health reported 10 opioid-related overdose deaths in 2025, down from 23 in 2024. Officials also said COVID-19 and norovirus cases were rising and West Nile Virus risk remained high.
