Coastal flood and high-wind alerts issued for Revere area

The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Warning and High Surf Advisory for Suffolk County, including Revere, from Friday afternoon through Sunday evening. Northeast winds of 45 to 60 mph and waves up to 13 feet could bring up to a foot of inundation in low-lying areas, with beach erosion expected.

Eliot Circle curb repairs planned for Friday

The Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation will conduct curb repair work at Eliot Circle from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 25. Drivers should expect a work zone near Revere Beach.

Mobile City Hall returns to Revere City Hall Friday

Mobile City Hall will be outside Revere City Hall at 281 Broadway on Friday, Sept. 25, from noon to 2 p.m. Residents can register to vote, contact 311, request parking stickers, appeal tickets, pay bills and access other city services.

At its Sept. 17 meeting, the Revere Traffic Commission unanimously approved stop-sign amendments on Marshview Terrace, No. Marshall Street, Bixby Street and Sewall Street, as well as several resident-parking changes. Two additional parking proposals were sent to a future public hearing.

License Commission approves Fall Festival and 5K permits

At its Sept. 16 meeting, the Revere License Commission unanimously approved one-day alcohol licenses for the city’s Oct. 3 Fall Festival and Oct. 10 scholarship 5K, plus licenses for a parish dinner dance and business changes involving Capri and Tio Juan’s Margarita’s Mexican Restaurant.
