Select Board places $6.5M FY28 override question before voters
The Select Board voted on July 28 to place a $6.5 million Proposition 2½ operational override on the November 3, 2026 state election ballot. If approved, it would take effect in fiscal year 2028, which begins July 1, 2027. Town materials say a 'yes' vote would maintain level services, preserve the AAA bond rating, keep full-day kindergarten free and sustain athletics and extracurricular activities.
