Reading Holds First of Two FY28 Override Forums

The town and Reading Public Schools held the first of two public forums on the proposed FY28 Proposition 2½ override on Wednesday afternoon at Town Hall, covering frequently asked questions, a video showcase and a walkthrough of the town's tax calculator. Several boards, including the Select Board, Finance Committee and School Committee, held related sessions the same day. A second forum is set for Saturday, Sept. 19, at 11 a.m. at the Reading Public Library; RCTV is recording both sessions, and residents can send questions to Override@ReadingMA.gov.
