Quincy Postpones Open Heritage Day to Oct. 17 Due to Nor'easter

The America 250 Open Heritage Day, which had been set for Saturday, Sept. 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., will now be held Oct. 17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Officials postponed the event to keep residents safe from a nor'easter expected to begin Friday, with forecasts of heavy rain, damaging wind gusts and coastal erosion. Admission remains free, with tours, self-guided experiences and free trolley service to historic sites including Peacefield and the USS Salem.
