Rough Seas Suspend Quincy Ferry Service
The MBTA suspended ferry service from Quincy and Lynn on Wednesday and Thursday, citing rough seas, according to its schedule. A coastal storm is expected to make landfall Friday evening, with the worst conditions forecast for Saturday: winds up to 50 miles per hour and 4 to 6 inches of rain across Boston and southeastern Massachusetts, according to Globe meteorologist Ken Mahan. Officials along the coast are urging residents to prepare, and harbormasters are telling boat owners to pull their boats out of the water.
