Quincy Open Heritage Day Rescheduled to Sept. 26

The America250 event, now set for Saturday, Sept. 26, opens more than a dozen historic sites free of charge, including Peacefield, Old Town Hall, the Adams Academy/Quincy Historical Society, Church of the Presidents, Hancock Cemetery, the USS Salem, the Josiah Quincy House and the Quincy Quarry and Granite Workers Museum. Visitors can choose their own route among house museums, exhibits, living history demonstrations and presentations, with community ambassadors on hand to answer questions. Free trolley service will run throughout the day between participating sites and Heritage Hubs, with pickup locations including the Quincy Historical Society.
