Quincy DPW Releases Fall/Winter Yard Waste Schedule

The Department of Public Works has released its fall/winter curbside yard waste calendar, with collection on your regular trash day starting the week of October 5 and running through mid-December. Leaves, grass clippings and twigs must go in paper bags or in barrels with YARD WASTE stickers — no plastic bags — and free stickers are available at the DPW, City Hall and the Kennedy Senior Center. Branches must be cut to 3-foot lengths and no thicker than 2.5 inches; residents can also drop off yard waste at the DPW yard weekdays 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturdays through December 5.
