Arlington Board Seeks Stronger Sewage Cleanup Near Cambridge Border

Arlington Select Board members pushed back on Aug. 12 as the MWRA presented its $340 million Alewife Brook cleanup plan, saying the project should go further and eliminate sewage discharges entirely. Members framed the stronger standard as a matter of protecting neighbors in North Cambridge as well as Arlington residents along the brook.
