Mayflower Brewing to Close Resnik Road Facility at Year's End
Mayflower Brewing Company, the town's oldest craft brewery, will close its Resnik Road brewery and tasting room on Dec. 31 after operating there since 2007. Mike McNamara, owner of Hog Island Beer Company, bought Mayflower last year. He said the space is far larger and costlier than needed, and the brand will now be brewed at the Cape Cod Beer brewery in Hyannis. The seasonal beer garden on the green in Pine Hills will remain open while the company looks for a new tasting room location, and McNamara is talking with the five full-time employees about how many can stay on.
